Why can’t Europe get enough of Gaddafi?

December 14, 2010

The manner in which the West panders to Libya is mind-boggling at best, at worst offensive . This is a county that allowed bullets to rain down on an Italian fishing vessel only to apologise by saying “sorry, we thought you were immigrants”.

Read about it here: , .

This country has a leader that dreams of a united African continent, ruled by one leader, on the proviso that he is the leader in question. There is a hint of megalomania about this desire.

Yet he made his feelings on sub-saharan Africans, who in the most part are black, pretty clear:

“We should stop this illegal immigration. If we don’t, Europe will become black, it will be overcome by people with different religions, it will change…”

"Black power!"

Indeed, who could imagine just a fate as bad as ‘turning black’? Who would wish such a horror on anyone?

Amnesty International today condemned the treatment immigrants recieve at the hands of Libya. Treatment that is openily endorsed by the EU. The only reason they could possibly do so, is because they agree with Gaddafi’s distasteful opinions on the future make-up of Europe too.

A snapshot of Europe today:

Islamaphobia is less thinly veiled in Europe:

Why can’t Europe get enough of Gadaffi when it’s obviously had enough of Islam? I guess it’s because roughly, they are both singing from the same hymn sheet, aren’t they?
